Dry skin on your face? Apply these 5 moisturising face packs!

It is very difficult to manage dry skin as no moisturizer or cream comes to one’s rescue. The skin on your face may flake or itch if it’s dry. It can hurt badly! For those who have a dry skin on the face, it’s a huge task as it can be painful as well. Dry skin can be caused due to a number of factors – weather changes, hot bath, use of chemicals in face wash and soaps, skin conditions and so on. And the Symptoms of dry skin are redness, peeling, scaling, bleeding and so on. It can also be a sign of an underlying medical condition which will need an immediate attention.

Dr Apratim Goel, dermatologist and laser surgeon Director, Cutis skin studio, Mumbai, decodes 5 wonderful face packs which will help you to combat dry skin on your face. 

Apply these 5 face packs to tackle dry skin:

  1. Make a thick paste with 4 tablespoons of wheat flour, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon ghee. Apply it on your face and leave it for a few minutes. When it dries, wash it off with cold water.
  2. Remove the layer of cream from cooled milk. Add a pinch of turmeric and apply it on your face. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water.
  3. Mash a ripe banana. Apply it on the face and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Take 1/2 cup mashed avocado with 1 egg and 2 teaspoons of honey. Mix all the ingredients well and apply it on your face. Wash it off after 20 minutes.
  5.  Take 2 teaspoons mayonnaise with 2 teaspoons gram flour, 1 teaspoon wheat flour and 2 teaspoons honey. Mix it well and apply it on your face. Wash it off after some time.
